Team's need to be registered with the league prior to the AGM on the 22nd June. If you have already sent in your application it is now being processed, any changes to your application to be sent to  Alberta Wood League Secretary

 

The Walsall Junior Youth Football League Annual General Meeting will be held on the 22nd June at 7.30pm

At Bloxwich Memorial Club Harrison St Bloxwich.

 League Rule 6(D) Each member club shall be empowered to send two delegates to an Annual General Meeting

Each club shall be entitled to one vote only.

 Look forward to seeing your members in attendance.

The league committee are delighted to announce that we will be running an Early Bird Team Application for the season 2017 - 2018. This is the third season we have offered this to teams. Teams who register before the end of March 2017 will be able to do so at a substantial saving for all age groups. Please see the application form on our website for further details

U13's A. T.  Wellings Cup - 11th April 2017

Congratulations to both teams for a fantastic final at Chasetown Football Club.  Many thanks to all of the spectators who created a great atmosphere and to all the players who are a credit to the League.  We would like to thank our VIP's who were presenting the cup and medals who were: Tony Wellings (presenting his cup for the 44th year) and Hayley Farren representing Walsall Junior Youth Football League.   Thank you also to the match officials:  Referee: Peter Brunton-Douglas and Assistants: Jack Ball and Mason Rammell.

The league committee are pleased to announce that we will be running a subsidised Level 1 Coaching Course in May 2017.

 

This is for any club who has a coach they would like to get qualified ready to coach in our league for next season.

 

Places are strictly limited to 20 , so booking will be limited initially to one applicant per club and will be on a first come first served basis. If we have places available towards the end of the application period we will offer additional places to any club who has registered additional interest.

 

The course will be delivered by Rob Williams and Danny Hickinbottom from Staffs FA and will be based at Wyrley Juniors. 

 

The dates will be :

Saturday 6th May 9am - 5pm

Monday 8th May (evening) 6.30 - 9.30pm

Saturday 13th May 9am - 5pm

Saturday 20th May 9am - 5pm

Saturday 27th May 9am - 5pm

 

You must be able to attend ALL dates.

 

The course will include Safeguarding and First Aid qualifications.

 

Subsidised prices are 100 for Charter Standard Clubs, 130 for Non-Charter Standard Clubs.

 

You must return completed applications by 3rd March 2017.

Just a quick note on some provisional details for the new season starting in September.

 

League season to start Sunday 10 September

 

An under 16 age group will be run

 

Under 15 and under 16 will be PM kick off times

 

Under 14 and under 13 will be AM kick off times

 

Under 13 will be 11 a side played home and away and teams will need to source their own venues

Congratulations to both teams for a very exciting final at Chasetown Football Club.  Thank you to all of the spectators who created a great atmosphere for the teams.  A fantastic game, all players were a credit to their teams.  Our thanks to the VIP's presenting the cup and medals who were: Jan Scott from Staffs F.A. and Helen Bishop representing Walsall Junior Youth Football League.   Thank you also to the match officials, Referee Andy Dickson and Assistants: Jonathan Lawrance and Kelvin Brittain.

It is being held on Tuesday 11th April at Chasetown Football Club.   KO is at 7.30 p.m., gates open at 6.30 p.m.  Entrance fee is ONLY 1.00 per adult, there is no charge for accompanied children under the age of 16 years. 

 

Please come along to support the teams and help make a great atmosphere for the finalists.  Refreshments will be available to purchase during the evening.
