Notes to Managers and Secretaries for October 2018

1) Fixtures for October 2018
-Under 10’s Trophy event group Matches
-Under 9’s Trophy event group matches
-Under 8’s Trophy event group matches
-Under 7’s Trophy event group matches

2) Under 9’s & 10’s Trophy Event Information
Under 10’s will consist of a round robin stage followed by a knock out stage.
Under 9’s will consist of a round robin stage followed by a knock out stage.
The Finals will be played immediately after the semi Finals on 21st October 2018
Teams not involved in Semi Finals will have friendlies on 21st October2018
Please note Referees will be intructed to apply the Foul Throw Laws for Under 9’s and 10’s.
They will advise the players where they are going wrong, but it is the Coaches responsibility
to ensure they know how to take a legal throw-in.

3) Under 7’s and Under 8’s Trophy Event Information
Under 7’s & 8’s trophy events will be run on a straight league basis

4) Half Term
In line with the season plan, there will be no mini soccer on Sunday 28th October 2018

5) Time Keeping
Mini soccer involves large numbers of teams playing at single venues, and in order for games to
run on time, all teams need to be at the pitch and ready to play two minutes before the allocated
kick off time.
One team being late for their first game can impact on all the other teams in the second games and
then throughout the morning.
Please note: -There is 40 minutes (30 mins for Under 7’s and 8’s) allocated for each game
-After taking account of half time and added time teams have around 4 minutes
to get to their next game.
-After playing your first game please move promptly to your next pitch and be
ready to play at the allocated time.

6) Photography
All teams are reminded that there should be no photography during games.

7) Footwear at Sporting Khalsa
Permitted Not Permitted
Football boots with Moulded studs or blades Any flat soled footwear
Firm ground or artificial grass sole Plates Astro boots or trainers
Hard ground sole plates Turf trainers
Shoes, work boots trainers
Screw in studs or blades

8) Litter at Centres
Please ask parents to use the litter bins. If there are no bins, take the rubbish home.
Walsall Parks have asked the League to make teams aware of the following legislation:
Under section 88 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 the offence of leaving litter, a fixed penalty of £80 is applicable. If the fixed penalty is not paid offenders may be prosecuted for the offence described and, if convicted, could receive a much larger fine up to a maximum of £2500.
Lets make it a good environment for the children to play football.
